It's happening! You're getting married! The love of your life proposed! Now what? Where do you start?

In 2020, most of us jump straight to Pinterest. We create a wedding bored of all of our favorite flowers, wedding dresses, reception decor, all the things. Now comes the logistical part of putting it all together, which brings on a whole other set of questions; Who do I hire? What all do I need to plan for? When should all the vendors arrive? You get the point. This is the perfect time to book your consultation with a wedding planner. Most of the time, consultations are free, meaning you are not committed or out any money. This gives you the opportunity to speak with a professional and have their input on which direction would fit your needs the best. In the consultation you may also realize that there were some things that you had forgot to plan for. It's really a simple task on your long to do list that can in return help you tremendously.
Before your consultation, think about the time of year you picture of your wedding, the color of your bridesmaids dresses, the time of year, and any other details that come naturally to you. This helps give the wedding planner a direction and a sense of your vibe. This information also sticks out to the wedding planner as a must have for you, so consider if there is anything that you would want incorporated into your wedding even if you may not know how.
Money Talk
Depending on your location, the size of your party, the size of your guest list, and of course your needs, will determine the cost of a wedding planner. I love to have consultations with my future clients before quoting any price. You may be the person that has every detail planned out, your vision is clear, but you just need someone to execute your plan the day of your wedding to ensure that it goes off without a hitch. On the other hand, you may not want to deal with any of the decision making and would much rather hire a expert in planning and design to “WOW” both you and your guests. These two types of examples will obviously have a price difference.
Did you know that wedding planners can also set and manage your wedding budget? This can definitely come in handy when you get closer to your wedding date and you realize there are still some small or unexpected expenses that you had not budgeted for.
Trust me. It's your wedding day, don't leave anything up to chance, leave it to a professional that has your best interest in mind. Hire the wedding planner, enjoy your wedding. You do not want the night to go by and not have lived in every great moment as a newlywed couple. Something I do for all of my clients is I make sure the couple has a moment to themselves, after the ceremony and away from everyone. A moment just to be like, “OMG, WE’RE MARRIED”. Above all, your wedding is to celebrate your life and your marriage together, so let's make it perfect.
